John brings over 20 years of financial accounting and consulting experience to his role as director at Mauldin & Jenkins, specializing in audits of private companies, including financial institutions, manufacturing, employee benefit plans and not-for profit organizations. In the financial institution practice area, John is responsible for the ongoing servicing of financial institution clients, which includes overseeing the completion of engagements such as opinion audits, internal audits, FDICIA compliance services, and management advisory services. He is responsible for on-site supervision of professional staff and their compliance with all professional and regulatory standards. 

John has worked with Mauldin & Jenkins since 2013 and graduated from the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga with a degree in Accounting in 1999. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Tennessee. John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. John resides in Ooltewah, Tennessee with his wife and is an active member of New Covenant Fellowship Church.
