Chris began his accounting career as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers.  After spending more than eight years there, he joined CDPA in 2008.  Chris received his accounting degree from the University of North Alabama in 1998 and his Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama in 1999.  He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Alabama.  He spends considerable time managing audit and tax engagements for closely held entities, non-profit entities, and employee benefit plans.  Chris has a wide variety of industry experience with current and former clients in manufacturing, construction, technology, retail, higher education, and not-for-profit industries.  Chris’s expertise also includes corporate finance, entity selection, entity formation and tax planning and compliance.  He is a member of the AICPA, Alabama Society of CPAs and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Chris currently serves on the Board of the Limestone County Economic Development Association (past Chairman), University of North Alabama School of Accounting & Business Law Advisory Council, Regions Bank Board (North Alabama), Athens Limestone County Library Board (current Chairman), Rotary Board (past Director), and Limestone County Chamber of Commerce Board (past Director).  Chris is an outdoor enthusiast and currently resides in Athens, Alabama with his wife, Liz, and two children, daughter, Ella and son, Bennett.
