Emily Dent is a partner with Mauldin & Jenkins and has been with the Firm since 2007. Emily received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2001. She has spent her career working in and with community financial institutions of various sizes. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for a local community bank for eight years in both retail and operations roles. Emily provides accounting, auditing, and compliance services to financial institution clients. With over twenty years of experience in the financial institutions sector, she has decided to focus primarily on regulatory compliance. Emily enjoys consulting with clients and potential clients on this ever-changing environment. In addition to being a CPA, she holds the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification and the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the American Bankers’ Association, and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. Emily attended National Banking School at the University of Virginia and is a graduate of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Institute of Leadership Development. She resides in Albany, Georgia with her husband, Mike and daughter, Maddie.
